  • 2010 Pin-ups Love Pound Pups calendar sales to go to PAWSitive Changes, Inc.!

    The 2010 Pin-ups Love Pound Pups calendar has been released!  The pin-ups are a group of friends committed to animal rescue, education, and social awareness for animals in need.  They have announced that 100% of the sales of their calendar will be donated to PAWSitive Changes, Inc.!

    PAWSitive Changes, Inc. was invited to present at POOCH 101, the most progressive conference in our nation for animal-assisted programs in youth correctional facilities!  PAWS was invited to be a guest speaker at this forum!  We are honored.

  • "PAWS Peanut Butter Paw Prints!!!"

  • "Pacific Veterinary Clinic & Clients support PAWS"

    January 2008
    The generous Pacific Veterinary Clinic in Grants Pass and their clients gathered food, toys, blankets, and collars for the Josephine County Animal Shelter and PAWS Program this holiday season.  We received an amazing donation and the supplies went straight to the animals most in need in our community.  Thank you Pacific Veterinary Clinic and our community for supporting the work that we do!

  • "PAWSitive Changes, Inc. on KAJO radio"

    January 2008
    PAWSitive Changes, Inc. was invited to speak on KAJO radio for a positive community piece regarding the work that we do with youth and animals.  Thank you KAJO radio and Scott Jorgenson for providing us such a great opportunity to reach more people in our community with our mission statement!

  • "Applause for PAWS"

    October 2007

    PAWSitive Changes, Inc. was honored to be included in the community fundraiser "Applause For PAWS" sponsored by Evergreen Federal Bank and The Daily Courier.  Our community brought in over 2,500 dog photos to which Evergreen Federal and the Courier donated $1 per photo!

  • "Strut Your Mutt"

    October 2007

    "Strut Your Mutt", an adopt-a-thon and pet faire sponsored by Dancin' PAWS Dog-o-mat and Bakery, was a huge success for PAWSitive Changes, Inc.  We met two wonderful families that adopted Chance and Mr. Barkley after meeting them through the event!  We were also able to spread the word in our community about the great work that our youth do for homeless shelter dogs.

  • "Kiwanis Club helps sponsor a PAWS dog!"

    PAWSitive Changes, Inc. was invited to the Grants Pass Kiwanis Club to share our mission and goals for the future.  A special thank you to their group for donating toward the sponsor of a PAWS dog!

  • "Brighton Academy kick-off"

    October 2007
    An extra-special thank you to the students and staff of Brighton Academy for allowing us the opportunity to kick-off the fundraiser, "Applause For PAWS."  Members from each rescue group were there to share information and education to the students while asking their help to bring in dog photos for the event.  Fred, the Daily Courier mascot dog, was there to hand out stuffed animals to all the students!  Great fun!

  • "The PAWS Program is invited to present at POOCH 101"

    The PAWS Program presents at POOCH 101, a yearly international conference for animal-assisted programs in youth correctional facilities.

  • "Highland Elementary Presentation"

    May 2007

    PAWSitive Changes, Inc. visited Mr. Frerk's 4th grade class to discuss dog safety, health, and responsibility.  Thank you Highland Elementary School for welcoming us!

  • "National JJET Conference"

    March 2007
    The PAWS Program was proud to be invited as a speaker for the nation JJET (Juvenile Justice Educators and Trainers) Forum in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  We presented some of the research topics, programming design, and other animal-assisted therapy topics to a national conference of juvenile justice professionals.  It was critical for us to see how innovative and exciting this topic was in our field.

  • "The PAWS Program is underway!"

    June 2006
    The PAWS Program begins with the first three dogs and the first three youth selected for the program.  Mango, Snoop-E, and Nadama introduced the PAWS Program at the correctional facility in June 2006.  They were paired with their youth trainers to create the PAWS Program (People and Animals Worth Saving), as named by the youth.  They began a journey that would prove amazing for the youth and dogs of our community...

  • "PAWS" visits the Grants Pass Lions Club

    January 2006
    The PAWS Program, along with Josephine County Animal Shelter volunteers, visits the Grants Pass Lions Club to share the exciting program plans and groundwork for our upcoming project!
